Accommodation

The Old Stables GardenAs its name suggests, the Old Stables was where the horses were kept many years ago, except that the wooden partitions and hayracks have now been replaced by a beautiful Mark Wilkinson American Oak kitchen. Where once the horses drank from cast iron troughs, an American fridge freezer dispenses chilled spring water and crushed ice!

Downstairs, the huge open-plan kitchen / living / dining / conservatory area is warmed constantly by the gleaming pewter Aga cooker, which can be boosted by a wood-burning stove on colder days. Sky television is provided. A separate small sitting room is ideal for quiet moments, while off the hallway is a bootroom for hanging coats and storing shoes and walking boots. There is a downstairs shower room.

Upstairs are four attractive bedrooms. The double bedroom has an en-suite shower room. There are three twin-bedded rooms. All the bedrooms have sloping ceilings and Velux windows. A very pretty family bathroom completes the accommodation.

A conservatory overlooks the garden area, which is visited daily by woodpeckers and other wildlife. The rear of the property comprises an enclosed paved area. There is a large pond in the garden, so extra care needs to be taken if your family or group includes toddlers or young children.
