Standing on the brow of the hill at the top of the seven-acre field, Woodpecker Cottage enjoys panoramic views towards the coast and the Lake District.

The largest of our self catering holiday cottages, Woopecker is detached, luxurious, stone-built, and has six bedrooms, five of which are en-suite, making it especially suitable for larger families, groups, couples and the less mobile.

The ground floor comprises a fantastic open-plan living area with comfy sofas, a woodburning stove, Sky television, a dining table seating twelve, a superb designer kitchen with AGA stove, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, wine cooler, and granite work surfaces. It has a separate cloakroom with toilet and wash basin, plus a utilility area with washing machine and tumble dryer. To the left of the hallway are two spacious bedrooms. The first is a double bedroom with an en-suite with both bath and shower. The second is a twin bedroom with a walk-in shower.

The first floor comprises a large family bedroom, containing a king-size bed, a single bed in an alcove, and an en-suite with both bath and shower. The sleeping accommodation is completed by two further twin bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room, and a single bedroom.

The cottage has underfloor heating, finished with lovely, tiled floors, rugs, contemporary furnishings and decorations.

To the rear of the cottage is a raised decked area, looking out into woodland with outdoor dining furniture and a private garden where you will see and hear the resident woodpeckers!
